The NFL season hasn't started just yet, but the Las Vegas Raiders ' Allegiant Stadium has already hosted a game.

On Sunday, September 1, Allegiant Stadium played host to two of the biggest college football programs in the country, and their fan bases showed out. In a top-25 battle,  the No. 23 USC Trojans took on the No. 13 LSU Tigers in a game that went down to the wire and also saw a record amount of fans in attendance.

There were 63,969 fans in attendance, which was more than Super Bowl LVIII, according to Front Office Sports .

The previous record of 61,629 was the Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers this past season, which saw the Chiefs win their second Super Bowl in a row.

As for Sunday evening's game, it was USC who left victorious as a late LSU penalty set up a touchdown run by Woody Marks for the win.

As for the Raiders, they won't be playing a game at home until Week 3 of the NFL season. They will be heading to Los Angeles to play the Chargers in Week 1, and Baltimore for their Week 2 meeting against the Ravens.
