while I do agree with the refraining from questions after school part because that would only elevate my overstimulation and aggression towards whomever keeps doing it back then (well honestly who wants to be interrogated after a long day of work? Who wouldn't that piss off? Just turns out it might get you hit or bitten by an overstimmed kid on the spectrum is the only difference), you can't really prepare people on the spectrum for anything, that's why it's considered a disorder. the entire experience of interacting with other children is out of routine, and they know that and will pick on them if they don't happen to get good at masking the autism. the best thing you can do is not discourage them from acting out of self-defense because if a meltdown is what freaks bullies out enough to stop bothering them (well if they have the offensive type of meltdowns), so be it.
