Bad news for fans of In-N-Out Burger on the East Coast: the beloved California-based burger chain has no plans to expand to the eastern United States in the near future.

In a recent interview with NBC's "Today," In-N-Out owner Lynsi Snyder confirmed that the company will not be extending its reach beyond its current locations. Despite significant growth under Snyder's leadership, which saw the chain nearly double in size since she became president in 2010, the burger giant remains focused on its existing regions.

Founded in 1948 as a small burger stand in Los Angeles, In-N-Out has gradually expanded across seven states—California, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Colorado, and Idaho—with 400 locations in total. New Mexico and Washington State were the most recent additions to the map. However, the easternmost point of In-N-Out’s reach will be in Nashville, Tennessee, where the first location is expected to open in 2026.

For now, East Coast fans will have to continue to wait or make the trip westward to satisfy their Double-Double cravings.
