Mountain Biker Bails Off Bike To Avoid Longhorn That Came Out Of Nowhere

Holy sh*t cow. For the most part, we are accustomed to seeing longhorn cattle, also known as Texas Longhorns (SEC! SEC! SEC!), as domesticated animals. However, longhorns can still be found in the wild, and as you'll see in this video, sometimes in terrifying circumstances. A mountain biker was zooming through a wooded trail with a camera (likely a GoPro) mounted on their front handlebars. The point-of-view makes you really feel like you're saddled up on the bike yourself, which is both a blessing and a curse with the nature of this clip. If you are prone to be affected by jump scares, I'd watch this video with trepidation. As the biker bobs and weaves at high speeds through the forest trail, each subtle turn and elevation change becomes increasingly difficult. Those initial challenges of the ride were nothing compared to what came up literally right in the middle of the trail moments later. A moving roadblock in the form of a wild longhorn stopped the mountain biker right in their tracks - or they at least tried to stop. Throwing on the brakes wasn't going to stop them from colliding with the big beast, so the biker decided to purposely bail off the bike and off to the side. It made for quite the heart-pounding video: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_YdGTOOUez/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Talk about a close call. If you needed an excuse to not go mountain biking, there's one for you. Let's say someone asks you to go. You're response could be, "I'd rather not, don't feel like risking my life as a form of exercise. Thanks though!" The longhorn excuse might seem like a stretch, but you can just show whoever this story if you need proof. Everyone that came across the clip on social media was stunned, though they still were able to crack some jokes about the mountain biker's close encounter:
"You just need to tell him to moooove." "The way it casually braced for impact." "That's one of the most intimidating things I've ever seen." "How the f**k a longhorn get in that deep of the woods?" "He had the perfect opportunity to say 'Holy Cow' and whiffed it." That's why I said it to start up the story... can't miss an opportunity like that.
