Saints RB Alvin Kamara has listed his house for sale. No, it's not about his contract.

Eagle-eyed Zillow watchers noted something interesting over the weekend: A $2.75 million Belle Chasse home was listed for sale. The name under the listing: Allen Kamara.

It's not a typo. That's Saints running back Alvin Kamara's home, listed for sale by his brother, Allen, a realtor who operates out of Atlanta. With contract questions still looming, the question was fair. Alvin shot it down quickly.

“It’s too late for contract talk," Kamara said. "I’m kind of ... if it get done, cool, if it don’t cool. I’m kind of at the point where I’m not even talking about it til after the season, like I don’t want to talk about it.”

The 29-year-old drew headlines earlier this offseason when he departed early from minicamp with an eye on a reworked contract, but nothing ever developed in that pursuit and he arrived and participated in training camp all the same. He said at the time he had no interest in accruing fines of $50,000 per day that'd come with a holdout, though he did miss the final week of the sessions out in Irvine, California with what the team described as back stiffness.

Kamara said he's good to go now, and that the home sale was about nothing more than selling a house. The self-described "serial entrepeneur" even joked that the assembled media should pool money together and buy the listing, as well as saying that Louisiana car dealership mogul Matt Bowers had offered him a free place to stay.

The 5-bedroom, 9-bathroom house is listed at just shy of 7,000 square feet and was built in 2022.

"I wouldn’t say ... I had an exact plan, but I had plans to [sell the house]," Kamara said. "I’m pretty intentional when it comes to those moves that I make in real estate. I’ve got other properties around the city, too, so if I sell that – if I sell it today I have somewhere to be, so I’m good.”

Whether or not the home listing is an omen of things to come, the Saints' star running back is guaranteed one more season in black and gold, and it's not lost in him how quickly he's gone from a bright-eyed rookie in 2017 to a steely-eyed veteran in 2024.

"It’s a blessing, you know, and especially to be in the same place for so long, man, you know, I was thinking about it last night," Kamara said," just put in a lot of work, a lot of sacrifice and to be able to still be doing it, it’s amazing.”

The Saints kick off their 2024 slate against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
