As burnout becomes an increasing concern, workers are gravitating toward employers who offer sabbaticals to enhance their work-life balance and professional development. According to exclusive data from the Chartered Management Institute, over half of managers (53%) reported that their organizations provide sabbatical leave, while about 29% said their companies do not. Notably, sabbaticals are more common in the public and charity sectors (62%) compared to the private sector (44%).

The survey also revealed that younger managers, particularly those under 55, place a higher value on sabbatical leave, with 80% considering it important compared to 72% of their older counterparts. This trend reflects a shift in the employer-employee relationship, emphasizing the growing demand for flexible and supportive work arrangements.
