Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Grapevine Restaurant on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst closed over the weekend after 41 years in business. In a statement, owners Tom and Liza Pane said "We want to say thank you for everyone who dined with us...We are grateful for your continued support and loyalty you have brought us." Gift cards can be redeemed at The Grapevine Banquets on Dick Road in Depew until December 30th.

Save A Lot is planning an expansion in the Buffalo area, per Buffalo Business First. Chief development officer Bill Mayo recently called the region "a prime area for us based on demographics." Save A Lot opted to close two of its local stores this summer, one at the Broadway Market and another in the Village of Lancaster, which closes next month.

The Native American Center for the Living Arts, also known as "The Turtle", in Niagara Falls has been deemed eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. The Niagara Falls City Council had decided earlier this year not to give the building local landmark status. The Turtle had opened in 1981 and has been closed since 1995.

Gas prices continue to fall in Buffalo, down 3 cents since last week at $3.45 per gallon according to GasBuddy.
