Mediaite Sets New Monthly Record With 83.4 Million Pageviews in August

So much for people tuning out the news during the dog days of summer… or at least Mediaite news.

Bucking what has traditionally been one of the slower times of the year, August was another historic month for Mediaite — which continues to shatter traffic records and grow its audience. We are proud to report the site received more than 83.4 million pageviews during the month of August — a new all-time high, breaking our previous record, which we set during 2023.

No question, major news events played an important role in our traffic growth. But far from being a bystander, we delivered fresh reporting and commentary on the month’s biggest stories. Mediaite paired news-making interviews — from a contentious interrogation of Vivek Ramaswamy to the first interview with Oliver Darcy after his exit from CNN — with scoopy reporting on the media and politics beats. Senior reporter Diana Falzone broke news from inside Robert F. Kennedy’s star-crossed campaign as it imploded, and McLaughlin reported from the ground in Chicago , where the Democrats held their coronation of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as the 2024 ticket.

We’ve reached a level where we’re now competing with, and often surpassing, staffs much larger than ours, and outlets which have been around far longer than the 15 years we recently celebrated .
