The Shocking Reason WWE Took Odyssey Jones Off Television Has Been Revealed

On Monday afternoon, news spread across social media that Odyssey Jones had been quietly removed from WWE’s official roster page, and it was subsequently confirmed that it wasn’t an error. This would, therefore, lead to a great deal of speculation as to why WWE would be distancing themselves from someone who had only recently been called up to the main roster and referred to as a “ game changer ” by Triple H.

However, after he failed to feature during this week’s episode of Raw, it has now been reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select on X that the reason is the former college football player has been accused of domestic violence. Still, it was noted that it isn’t known whether he has been arrested or officially released by WWE.

“Odyssey Jones was removed from WWE TV when domestic violence allegations came to light, Fightful has learned. We’ve not heard of an arrest or charges being pressed in relation to the situation.”

30-year-old Jones, real name Omari Palmer, initially tried out for WWE after an injury cut short his football career and was promptly signed due to his size and athletic ability. Yet since then, his WWE run has been stop-start with injuries and a lack of a creative direction hindering his progress. Still having recently debuted on Raw as part of an angle with The New Day, it looked like his future was bright.
