Boeings managers don't have a clue and are a major problem. one of the oldest jokes on the floor is "My manager came to me and asked me if I needed anything to help get the line moving abd I said yeah I'm short of edge margin can you go down to the crib and get me some more." The manager promptly went down to the crib to ask for some edge margin. Everyone but the manager laughed. This speaks volumes to the problems with Boeings managers. Their whole purpose in life is to make the next level of manager. There are way too many levels of management and each level higher a,manager is away from the floor the less they know what's going on.
