    Janesville Fall Wine Walk to feature 19 downtown stops

    JANESVILLE — Downtown Janesville’s Fall Wine Walk is just a few weeks away, and tickets are going fast.

    The event, from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, will feature 19 wine stops, each offering samples of wines from around the world. It drawn over 600 attendees in past years.

    Participants can stroll through downtown Janesville or ride the trolley to visit participating businesses, sample wines, and enjoying snacks from local restaurants and special in-store promotions.

    A limited number of VIP tickets have already sold out. General admission tickets are $45 and can be bought at JanesvilleWineWalk.com. Proceeds benefit Downtown Janesville, Inc..

    Participating businesses include 608 Vintage, Adorn Boutique, American Belle Clothing, Anne Rosa Interior Design, Bodacious Shops of Block 42, Chloe & Claire Boutique, Classy Rascal’s Boutique, Frayed Edges Boutique, French Lily Boutique, Garden of Eaton, Glass Garden, Just Us Gift Store, Blondie’s Bling & Things, Lark Market, Mood, Nuovo Te, Scarlett’s Charm, The Shop by Rachel, The Sugar Exchange and Velvet & Tulle Boutique.

    Snacks will be available while supplies last at sites including 808 Cheesecake, 808 Poke, drafthouse, Genisa, Whiskey Ranch and Sandwich Bar.

    “The Wine Walks are a wonderful opportunity for people to experience downtown and support local businesses. It’s one of the best sales days of the year for our retailers and restaurants, and we’re looking forward to another fantastic event,” Elaina Szyjewski, managing director of Downtown Janesville, Inc., said in a release.

    The Fall Wine Walk is presented by Smile Doctors, with additional support from TDS Fiber, Downtown Janesville Business Improvement District, Sauk Valley Bank, The Diamond Center, First Community Credit Union, JP Cullen, Big Radio, Lamar Advertising and Festival Foods.
