Whether directly or indirectly, never, ever challenge the internet to do something, and Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell found that out on recently.

Campbell starred in an Applebee's commercial that hit the internet on Tuesday, so naturally he was asked about it when addressing the media on Wednesday morning.

Campbell admitted that he wasn't totally sure he wanted to do it, but his wife and daughter thankfully talked him into it. Also, we apparently haven't seen the last of Campbell in commercials, as he revealed there will be more.

"This was something I've been reluctant (to do)," Campbell said, per ESPN's Eric Woodyard . "I had fun with it... Unfortunately, there’s more to come.”

While talking about his most recent commercial, Campbell said he had been in one years back during his playing days with the Dallas Cowboys , but he didn't want to go into details about it, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press .

Well, unfortunately for him, the internet found it. The commercial was for Cowboys tickets and features Campbell in full pads and uniform. Check it out below:

An absolute classic, as far as I'm concerned. Granted, we like the Applebee's one more because Campbell actually speaks in it, but there is no shame in his old Cowboys ad.

To be quite honest, Campbell should do more commercials like the Applebee's one. He is legitimately a good actor and is funny. Not many head coaches can pull that off, but Campbell does so perfectly.

As the Lions have improved over the past few years, they've gotten more and more attention nationally, and that includes getting more commercial opportunities. It's really fun to see for a franchise that has been down and out for so long.

Things will really take off if the Lions can deliver on their Super Bowl expectations in 2024. The quest to do that begins on Sunday night.
