‘Angry and belligerent, puckered his lips, and proceeded to spit on me,’ cop says

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CohenConnect) – All this young suspect had to do was leave a restaurant, and he was reportedly given a number of chances. Instead, he ended up being punched in the face, taken down violently, and charged with a felony.

Police officers in Florida reported driving around last Thursday evening, Aug. 29, when they happened to see “a male subject arguing with security and staff in front of the business.”

According to the arrest report, they saw Marcel Kripzak “push an employee of the business and continue to argue.

“[The officers] made contact with security and staff, who advised that Kripzak was being belligerent with them, and they have told him multiple times to leave.

“[One officer] told Kripzak that he should leave before he is trespass-warned from the business.

“Kripzak continued to be belligerent and argumentative about the business wanting him to leave.

“[Another officer] advised Kripzak that he should just get a ride and leave before the business wants him trespass-warned.

“While speaking with Kripzak,” that officer wrote, “he smelled very strongly of an unknown alcoholic beverage.

“Kripzak continued to be argumentative, and I advised him that if he does not stop causing a problem, he could be arrested for disorderly intoxication.

“He then continued to be angry and belligerent, puckered his lips, and proceeded to spit on me on my face.

“[The other officer] and I then grabbed control of Kripzak to place him under arrest.”

But getting the suspect who was reported to be 5’10” tall and weighing 180 lbs. into handcuffs and a patrol vehicle wasn’t easy.

“He refused to comply with the commands to place his hands behind his back and stop resisting,” the arrest report continued. “[A third officer] arrived and assisted [the others] take Kripzak into custody.

“Kripzak was placed onto the hood of the [third officer’s] marked patrol vehicle, and we were still trying to gain control of his hands.”

The officer who was spit on wrote, “I gave Kripzak a close-handed strike to the right side of his face to gain compliance.”

That didn’t work, at least not right away.

Then, “At some point, Kripzak and officers ended up on the ground, and his hands were put behind his back and placed into handcuffs.”

Finally, the restaurant manager told police the trouble started when staff “advised Kripzak they would not serve him any longer.

“They told him to leave as he became increasingly argumentative with staff.

“Kripzak continued to argue with staff in front of the business, and then shoved an employee.

“The employee that was shoved by Kripzak wished to remain anonymous and did not want to press charges.”

    That really didn’t matter.
