Kyle Richards Says Her Daughters “Were Not Very Upset” When Mauricio Umansky’s ‘Buying Beverly Hills’ Was Canceled

Not everyone is built for show biz! Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards addressed the recent news that Buying Beverly Hills — which starred her husband Mauricio Umansky and their three daughters — was not picked up for a third season on Netflix .

“The fans have been very upset about Buying Beverly Hills . So many people are like, ‘Why?’ I’ve seen articles about, ‘Why would they do that?’ So who knows? You never know what will happen with that,” she recently said on Amazon Live .

But the Bravo star says her daughters (Farrah Brittany, Alexia Umansky, and Sophia Umansky), who work for their father’s real estate agency, were not “very upset” about the show being canceled.

“They’re all businesswomen. They only care about business,” Richards said of her daughters’ priorities. “They found it very overwhelming to shoot Buying Beverly Hills . They came to me in tears so many times.”

She added that her daughters “never cared about being on TV.”

Though she claims “they were not very upset” that the show was canceled, “They would love it if it happened again, but they are very focused on selling real estate, so I’m proud of them for that.”

The Netflix series followed Mauricio’s work with The Agency, his real estate firm, where his three daughters worked.

Season 2 got off to a strong start when Netflix shared a preview clip of Mauricio announcing to their daughters that he and Richards were separating. In the clip, he told them that Richards encouraged him to begin dating other people.

“It’s so weird to even be having this conversation,” Brittany said through tears. “I definitely could not have predicted where my life was going to be one year ago, in all aspects.”

Richards, on the other hand, will be continuing her television career on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , which recently completed filming Season 14. It’s expected to premiere later this fall.
