A St. Bernard dog used his size and stubbornness to refuse to enter the vet's office, and it's a total mood.

On September 3, 2024, TikTok user Saint in the City (@saint.in.the.city) shared a video of Midas, a St. Bernard who refused to enter the vet's office. Take a look!

In a quick video on social media, we meet Midas, who didn't want to go into the vet's office.

"Today, my 200-lb dog refused to step foot in the vet's office, laying down in protest," the text on the screen reads, while the video shows the cute St. Bernard who isn't budging from where he's stopped.

His refusal caused "quite the scene," and no one could convince him to go inside, so they had to improvise.

"So the doc had to check his ears in the parking lot," the text on the video shared. "How was your Tuesday?"

In the clip we see Midas getting his ear checked out on the side walk with the veterinarian crouching down beside him and looking into his ears.

"Sometimes having a St. Bernard is not for the weak," the video's caption reads. And in the comment section, people had a lot to share.

One wrote, "My 160-pound mastiff will literally crawl on my shoulders at the vet cause he’s just a baby."

Another added, "Mine used to go deadweight on the parking lot and then shart himself immediately upon entering."

Someone else shared, "My dogs refuse to go in, meanwhile my three cats can’t wait to go and don’t want to leave once inside."

One explained, "I’m glad to see the vets accommodating his needs!"

Another joked, "He is a good boy. Animals are never, ever in the wrong."

St. Bernards Are Known for Being Charming and Playful

While Midas might not be showing off his most playful side in the video, St. Bernards are known for being charming, playful, and inquisitive, according to the American Kennel Club .

These big working dogs, which can grow to an average of 30 inches and weigh up to 180 pounds, are great family dogs because of their ability to be gentle with young children, affectionate with family, and great with other dogs.

"Not ranked particularly high in AKC registrations, this genial giant is nonetheless among the world's most famous and beloved breeds," the club shares. "The Saint's written standard abounds with phrases like 'very powerful,' 'extraordinarily muscular,' 'imposing,' and 'massive.'"

Despite their giant size, these dogs are known for being playful and charming, and really great with kids. "Saints are famously watchful and patient companions with a fondness for children," the American Kennel Club shares.

I was surprised to hear the cats like going to the vet. Did the vet give them treats?
