Cranmore Mountain Resort Joins Uphill New England Multi-Mountain Season Pass

Cranmore Mountain Resort, New Hampshire, has announced a new partnership with Uphill New England, a non-profit organization providing resources and information to backcountry skiers excited about resort terrain, for their multi-mountain uphill season pass.
Uphill New England's pass provides uphill access to over 17 ski resorts across New England, including Cranmore's sister resorts Jiminy Peak Resort in Massachusetts and Bromley Mountain in Vermont.
The pass also includes access to Berkshire East, MA; Saddleback Mountain, ME; Black Mountain, ME; Bromley, VT; Mt. Abram, ME; Camden Snow Bowl, ME; and Whaleback Mountain, NH.
The Uphill Pass exists due to the problems faced by backcountry skiers attempting to navigate resort regulations around skinning and uphill travel. Various passes, usage dates, and general rules and regulations can be difficult to navigate as they change per resort. But with Uphill New England, backcountry skiers can easily navigate which resorts allow uphill travel and what their usage dates and rules are.
Additionally, the pass offers a mobile app that allows skiers to digitally check-in, track their uphill stats, see mountain status updates, view special promotions, check out designated uphill routes, policy updates and a community of like-minded uphillers. All passholders receive an armband, which is required for entry at each participating resort.
Upon arrival at the resort, Uphill New England passholders must check in via the Uphill New England mobile app to access the mountain. To check in, open the app, select "Slope Scanner", and scan the QR code displayed on Uphill New England signage, located at the base of the mountain and along the uphill routes.
The 2024-25 Uphill New England Season Pass starts out at $185 with a raise in price up to $215 in the Fall.
Cranmore also offers a resort-specific uphill pass for $149, which includes access to the Uphill New England mobile app and armband. Uphill day tickets are also sold online and at the ticket office each day. The Cranmore Uphill Passes benefit a good cause: for each pass sold, $20 is donated to Granite Backcountry Alliance.
Cranmore also partnered with Mountain Sports Lab and Inclusive Ski Touring, for a weekly group skin. Led by Inclusive Ski Touring volunteers on Sunday mornings from mid-December through late March, the group skins provide an opportunity to connect with others in a more proactive way than bumping into people on the skin track.
Check-in for these events begins bright and early at 8am on the first floor of Fairbank Lodge, with an on-snow time of 9am. There are also rentals available, and an Uphill Ticket or Season Pass is required to participate.
Cranmore has also officially announced their operation hours for various areas around the resort as follows:
South Slope: 7am–3:30pm (7:30pm during night operations)
Lower Skimeister to Skimeister to Summit: 9am–3:30pm (8:30am on weekends and vacation weeks)
Lower Beginner’s Luck to Lower Gibson to Easy Street: 7am–10:30am
For East Coast skiers, wintertime often means braving the cold and being extra resourceful to have fun and get outside. This winter, things will be no different, except skiers also have the option and resources to skin up Cranmore Mountain Resort.
