Man charged with rape of juvenile

LaGrange Police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile victim.

On Sep. 3, 2024, around 8:45 am, officers with the LaGrange Police Department were called to the Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in reference to a rape that had occurred at a separate undisclosed location inside the city of LaGrange.

Police say the Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation at this time into the incident and were able to identify the suspect as 23-year-old Isaac Nixon.

Nixon was subsequently taken into custody on Wednesday and is accused of rape, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and aggravated sexual battery.

This incident is still under active investigation.
