'Fine With Us!' Browns QB Deshaun Watson on Cleveland Being 'Overlooked'

On Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will begin his third season in Cleveland . In the previous two, he's totaled 12 games played due to suspensions and injuries.

Watson spent this past offseason recovering from his latest injury that ended his 2023 early, but he appears healed and ready to get back to the Pro Bowl form he displayed in Houston.

With the injury history and record of questionable play in Cleveland , it's no wonder the Browns are being overlooked by many. But Watson doesn't seem to have a problem with that.

“Fine with us,” Watson said . “Perfect. We’re just going to go under the radar and work. That’s all we can do.”

Watson was still rehabbing his shoulder late into the offseason and didn't play a single snap in the preseason. But he's been cleared for contact and play and will taste his first action on the field since the shoulder injury sidelined him just six games into last year.

Fans and Browns executives hope for the Watson of old after he signed a fully guaranteed $230 million deal in 2022, and has hardly lived up to it.

We'll finally get a chance to see a healthy-ish Watson on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field at 4:25 p.m. CT.
