Naperville police make another gun related arrest at Topgolf

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The number of arrests for people bringing guns to the Topgolf in Naperville has hit 24 in just one year.

Naperville police arrested Demonte Dennis of south suburban Calumet Park Friday night for having a gun inside his car in the Topgolf parking lot.

The Naperville Sun reports the 24-year-old is the 24th person to be arrested since August of last year at that location.

The department says officers on foot patrol smelled cannabis near a Buick parked in the lot and saw a handgun while looking through the windows of the car. Dennis was arrested when he came back to the car. He has a FOID card but not a concealed carry license.
