    What is Papatui?

Papatui isn't a code word or an inside joke; it is a dermatology company that provides skincare and grooming products. The company was founded in early 2024, and its focus is to "create products that have both effective and cleaner ingredients," according to a press release . They boast various face creams, body washes, shampoos and even creams to help with tattoo healing.

While many companies like Papatui exist, it has quickly risen to prominence thanks to one of its primary founders.

    Papatui Meaning

The word Papatui is derived from Samoan and was the brainchild of the company's founder, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Like many other things in the actor's life, it all comes back to family. "Papa" in Samoan translates to "Rock," and Johnson nods to not only his role as a father to his three children but also the importance his father and grandfather played in his life. "Tui" is the nickname that his grandfather called him.

What is the connection between Papatui and The Rock?

Johnson helped launch Papatui in March of 2024. It was a long time coming, as the company said research into the field and its eventual products began over three years ago. Johnson has advocated for wellness, especially men's health, for years and desired to provide men with "high-end products without having to pay high-end prices."

As for why the hats have popped up at the tournament, it is either a marketing strategy or a complete happenstance. Johnson isn't known as an avid tennis fan, and is likely trying to benefit from the spectacle that is the US Open.
