    Absentee landlords bought up the rental units in the state and are SLUMLORDS. You have to get very comfortable turning them into the municipality board of heath. Make these government workers do their damn job! MA state law... The landlord cannot retaliate against you, evict or raise your rent for 6 months so do it right before your lease expires.
