    2024-09-05

The month of August wasn't exactly quiet in terms of Florida layoffs. I wrote about a social services organization laying off over 150, a Winn Dixie laying off 48 due to an Aldi conversation, and manufacturer Leggett & Platt laying off nearly 80. And now call center iVox Solutions in Port St. Lucie will be laying off 109.

About iVox Solutions: According to its LinkedIn page, iVox Solutions provides "outsourcing and offshoring consulting" and is a "leader in the contact center industry."

It is headquartered in Port St. Lucie, Florida and it has around 186 employees. According to the iVox website, the company allows clients to outsource customer support and offer services at a fraction of the cost of an in-house staff.

Employees of the company give it 2.7 out of 5 stars on Indeed. Some say it is an interesting place to work but others say that it doesn't pay very well.

About The Layoffs: According to a warn letter, the company is laying off 109 employees at the end of October of 2024 due to the end of a contract with Altice USA.

According to its website, Altice USA is one of the largest broadband communications providers in the nation, with around 5 million customers around the globe. The company also operates operate Optimum Media, a data and advertising company.

Altice USA Chief Customer Experience Officer Shuvankar Roy recently spoke about how Optimum has leveraged technology and AI to enhance interactions between customers and employees.
