Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is regarded as one of the most talented players in the NFL, and one of the most promising young players in the league. Though he hasn't seen the postseason success that many people expect for him just yet, there's an undeniable belief from many that with the new coaching staff and pieces around him in LA, those things are coming.

But until then, we still see Herbert getting rated outside of the upper-echelon players in the league.

Earlier this summer, the NFL released their Top 100 players of the year going into the new season. Herbert was ranked No. 75 on that list, moving down 43 spots from where he was in 2023.

This past week at a Chargers media availability, a reporter asked Herbert if he was aware of the ranking, and if he used it as motivation. As you would expect from the quiet and dry-humored quarterback, his response was perfect.

"Uh, I do not, but I appreciate you letting me know that. Thank you," Herbert said with a kind smile.

For anyone who has followed Herbert throughout his career, this type of response should come as no surprise. Ever since his college career with the Oregon Ducks, Herbert has tried as hard as he can to avoid camera time and constantly shied away from making big statements in the media.

For a man who doesn't have any social media accounts, it makes sense that Herbert was unaware of his NFL Top 100 ranking. In the end, all he cares about is winning.
