    Big List of Festivals and Family Friendly Events This Weekend

    School may be back in session, but that doesn't mean that summer fun is completely over. After all, the season isn’t technically done until the last day of summer on September 22nd. In the meantime, we’re expecting great weather this weekend, making it perfect for taking the kids out to beat the back to school blues. There’s also plenty going on to keep adults happy.

    Take a day trip to Port Townsend for the highly popular Wooden Boat Festival.

    Spend Saturday night among light installations in Burien at the Arts-a-Glow Light Festival. Costumes encouraged.

    The Newcastle Days festival takes place on Saturday at Lake Boren Park.

    Support enterprising kids with their own businesses at the Tacoma Children’s Business Fair on Saturday.

    Wander the streets of Edmonds during the unique music festival of PorchFest Edmonds.

    Get into the historical spirit with the Harvest Home festival at Fort Nisqually.

    Head to the Seattle Center on Sunday for the Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival.

    The Edmonds Classic Car & Motorcycle Show takes place on Sunday.

    It’s hands on time for the kids at the Touch a Truck event in Spanaway Park on Saturday.

    If the kids love Legos, take them to BrickCon in Bellevue for a huge exhibition.

    The Ukrainian International Festival happens Saturday at the Bellevue Downtown Park.

    Head to the San Gennaro Festival of Seattle in the Georgetown neighborhood for all things Italian.
