UPDATE (3/18/24) — The Wagoner County Board of Commissioners met on Monday morning to discuss 911 Coordinator Judy Elliott's position.

The board of commissioners went into executive session to discuss her possible termination or her reinstatement. The board voted to take no action on Monday so Elliott will remain on administrative leave for the time being.

“We don’t know what’s going on," said Judy Elliott's husband, Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott. "We’re not getting any information from the board of county commissioners. It’s all taking place in executive session, so it’s just frustration.”

The next public meeting will be held on Monday, March 25.

WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — Wagoner County commissioners put Wagoner County 911 Coordinator Judy Elliott, who’s also the sheriff's wife, on paid administrative leave.

On Tuesday, county commissioners met to discuss her employment.

Commissioner James Hanning said they went into executive session because the district attorney called the matter a state of emergency.

A tipster told FOX23 that dispatchers would quit if concerns about Judy Elliott's behavior toward them did not change.

Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott said his wife has worked for Wagoner County for 18 years and has brought enhanced 911 and the 800 radio system among other things to the county.

He said she has had many accomplishments without ever being disciplined or written up.

FOX23 is still working to learn the exact accusations against Judy Elliott and will continue to provide further updates.

Perhaps she was never written up due to her husband's position in the county. It takes a LOT for all dispatchers to want to quit due to a supervisor's behavior. I was a dispatcher in my younger years. I've seen the "good ol' boy" system in a police department. I hope the work environment improves.
