Here in deep blue Northern Virginia, the Fairfax County Public Schools Student Rights and Responsibilities policy states the following:“For the purpose of the Gun-Free School Zone Act, nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit possession of a weapon under circumstances that are expressly permitted by the code of Virginia.” One of the many circumstances the Code of Virginia allows is that one can have a firearm in their vehicle on school grounds if the firearm is unloaded and properly secured.
