Making cozy fall recipes on a cool day can be pure bliss. As the air outside turns colder, the kitchen becomes a warm and welcoming haven for making hearty dishes like pumpkin bread , stews , casseroles , pies and more.

Cooking in fall is all about celebrating its flavors with your loved ones and enjoying the time together, but as nice as these recipes are, they can take a while to make. Sometimes, you just don't have the time to make a large, laborious meal. For those days when you want a nice, hot meal but don't have time to spend hours in the kitchen, shortcut ingredients are a savior. And a recipe that was recently shared by @athomewithshannon starts with canned biscuits and ends with a dinner that we need to make ASAP. Here's what you need to know.

On her TikTok, Shannon shared this recipe for an easy mini pot pies recipe and they look so cute and so easy.

Chicken pot pie is a classic comfort food dish that is made by cooking vegetables and chicken in a savory sauce, and then pouring the mixture into a pie crust. It's usually finished with a top crust that's baked until golden brown. It's delicious but it can be time-consuming. That's why Shannon's version is a welcome change.

She starts with a greased muffin tray and some canned biscuits. She squishes a biscuit into each of the muffin tins, shaping it to look like a bowl. Then, she mixes one can of cream of chicken soup, some cooked diced chicken and a frozen bag of mixed veggies together in a bowl. She spoons that mixture into the biscuit bowls and bakes them in the oven at 350° for 20 minutes.

In the comments to the video, several people said that Shannon should have added seasoning—poultry seasoning, garlic or Italian seasoning blend—to the mixture before spooning it into the biscuits. With a recipe this simple it would absolutely be very easy to customize it to fit your taste.

"This looks so good!" someone commented on her video. It really does! "So simple and delish," someone else added. We will definitely be making these a lot this season.

I taught my son to cook all homemade food by the time he was 13. No hacks and no B's just understanding the science of food and what spices taste like and how they affect a dish. I told him not to rely on the fact that his wife can cook. These hacks are not exactly reinventing the wheel.
