A WALMART shopper waited 15 minutes to checkout only to be sent to another line.

The customer called the retail giant a “total cluster” as he walked out, leaving his 15 items at the store.

Curtis Gaillard shared his frustra tions about his recent trip to Walmart on Monday on Facebook .

Gaillard visited his local South Carolina store, where he said there was only one full checkout line open.

“Went to the Walmart on 28 Bypass yesterday,” Gaillard began his post , adding, “WHAT A TOTAL CLUSTER!!!”

“Expected to be crowded, not the problem, remodelling not really the problem. Came time to check out there in lies the problem.

“Only ONE full checkout register was open. In one of the self checkouts, 3 were not working.”

Gaillard recalled waiting in line for 15 minutes before being moved to another.

“We stood in line for 15 minutes with a half-full cart,” he shared.

“We got to the checkout, we were told that anyone with 15 items would have to go to a full checkout register(only 1 open).

    “Completely blown away!!

“Left the cart and walked away,” he continued, stating the cashiers refused to help the customers in the shop.

“Thank you, Lord, for keeping my mouth shut. There were a lot of employees there working at relocating merchandise but not to take care of customers.

“Retail business kinda depends on customers. Walmart seems to have forgotten that fact.”

He concluded his post with a message to the retailer.

“SCREW YOU WALMART! It had been a while since I had been to Walmart, now it will be a while longer.”

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Walmart for comment.

    SELF-CHECKOUT CHAOS

Gaillard’s story isn’t the first time a Walmart shopper has complained about the self-checkout lines.

One customer shared their shopping experience during Walmart’s back-to-school rush .

“What’s going on???” the shopper asked in a Facebook post .

“It is understandable that there will be staffing shortages when school starts but the self-checkout registers don’t need to go back to school.”

What is Walmart's Scan and Go?

Walmart's Scan and Go was made to save time for shoppers

Walmart’s Scan and Go system was created to help customers scan items as they shop, pay, and leave without waiting in long checkout lines.

The retailer describes the new system to be done in a few easy steps:

    • Customers first need to have the Walmart app downloaded on their phones with their location access enabled.
    • On the Store Mode landing page, shoppers must click the Scan and Go option.
    • Customers can scan each item and place them in their carts as they shop.
    • At the end, they’ll be prompted to view the cart to make sure the quantity on the app matches the ones in their carts.
    • Shoppers will press “Check Out” and head to a self-checkout kiosk.
    • They’ll be prompted to scan the provided QR code at the register and confirm their payment method.
    • Once the transaction is complete, shoppers can leave the store without worry.

The rattled customer shared that their local Walmart, which was located in West Berlin, New Jersey , had half of their registers shut down.

“One area is totally shut down,” the shopper wrote.

“The other area, half the registers are closed.

“Only a few cashiers, and crazy unbelievable lines. Why? Because we’ll buy stuff anyway? Ridiculous management.”

Another complained about Walmart Pay after the system did not work for her.

“What’s the point of @Walmart pay if it never works?!” the shopper wrote on X .

“Had to leave all my groceries at the register and go to target.

“Wish yall would just get with the times and accept Apple Pay like everyone else if you aren’t going to have a pay system that actually works,” they concluded.
