    • ¾ cup white sugar
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    1. Mix the Base:
      • In a large bowl, combine the milk, heavy whipping cream, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
      • Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
    2. Chill the Mixture:
      • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or overnight. This helps the flavors meld together and ensures a smoother texture.
    3. Churn the Ice Cream:
      • Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to churn the ice cream. This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.
    4. Freeze the Ice Cream:
      • Once churned, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container. Freeze for at least 2 hours to allow it to firm up.
    5. Serve and Enjoy:
      • Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones. You can also add your favorite toppings like chocolate syrup, caramel sauce, or fresh fruit.
