CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The Bears’ first game of the regular season is Sunday at Soldier Field. The team has not made progress on a new stadium, but the CEO says he’s open to working with other teams in town.

Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren said without construction cranes dotting the skyline, the city falls behind.

He told members of the Economic Club of Chicago that he’s ready to partner with the White Sox or other teams that are also looking for public funding for new stadiums.

“We have a great working relationship with them,” Warren said. “We have great respect for the Reinsdorf family, and we’re definitely going to work together to see what we can work out.”

Governor Pritzker said back in July it’s highly unlikely state lawmakers and the team will reach a deal on a taxpayer-funded stadium this year.

Folks that live in Chicago shouldn't have to pay for a new Chicago bears Stadium we pay enough taxes as it is and Chicago white got new baseball stadium not that long ago and now they want another new stadium I don't think so tax person had to flip the bill for a new stadium
