I believe ALOT of individuals with violent offenses can be way more successful that non violent offenders, for the violent offenders they show proof they are not a safety risk to community, they have held jobs, educated themselves with marketable skills, their rentry plan consists job offers upon release, they want to leave Alabama they have been selected to be mentors, they have connected with therapy plan, they have written books ready to be published they show great empathy. Towards victim, assess to rentry programs to assist with potential goals and they have served 85% of sentence with minimal behavior tickets…WHY hold them ??? It’s so frustrating for them not all but there are a lot that are not their crime no more🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🙏🙏🙏

They work a lot of the prisoners at least 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Alabama prisoners that do get released are immediately set up for failure by their parole officers. The last thing Alabama needs is another prison, being that they're incapable of running the ones they have.
