The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Santa Cruz made a significant safety stop today as one of their Coastal Division Mobile Road Enforcement (MRE) officers pulled over a big rig traveling nearly 20 MPH over the speed limit.

The CHP reminds motorists that speed is a leading cause of fatalities on the road, urging drivers to "Slow Down" and prioritize safety, officers stated.

Commercial vehicle enforcement officers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of highways, conducting inspections, and making sure large vehicles comply with traffic laws. Their work is essential in maintaining safe travel conditions for all road users.

semis should have the same speed limit as cars. at the end of the day it all depends on the individual driver being qualified and experienced whether they're in a semi or a car.
