Vernon police investigate crash, drowning in Rockville

VERNON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Vernon police are investigating a crash in the Rockville section of town Thursday night.

Police say they received reports of a Chevrolet Malibu crash in the area of Snipsic and East Main Streets.

Officers began to search for the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Julio Feliciano, 33, of Hartford.

Feliciano was later found in Papermill Pond.

Witnesses say he fled the crash and tried to go into the pond but went underwater and never resurfaced.
