Hammond’s Candies has announced a nationwide recall of its Dark Chocolate Filled Mini Waffle Cones due to the presence of undeclared milk, posing a potentially life-threatening risk to individuals with dairy allergies. The recall was issued after one consumer reported an allergic reaction, leading the company to investigate and confirm the presence of milk proteins not listed on the product packaging.

The affected product, sold in 4-ounce resealable bags, has been distributed to retail stores across the U.S., including Florida, and made available through mail orders via Hammond's website and Amazon. The UPC for the recalled product is 6 91355 90513 5, and it is marked with product codes LN0525453, Use By: 03/20/2025 and 05/20/2025, printed on the lower-center back of the bag.

Hammond’s Candies is urging consumers who have purchased these waffle cones to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For those with dairy allergies or sensitivities, consuming this product could result in a severe allergic reaction.

One incident of an allergic reaction has been reported so far, and the company is working to determine how the undeclared milk ended up in the product. In the meantime, the distribution of the product has been halted until the issue is resolved.
