Please join us in sending love to Cady McClain (Dixie, All My Children ) and Jon Lindstrom (Kevin, General Hospital ) as they mourn the loss of their beloved dog Mr. Peanut. The couple may have split earlier this year, but they still shared their love for the adorable little pooch, with Lindstrom sharing his ex-wife’s heartfelt post about Mr. Peanut.

In recent weeks, McClain has been sharing updates on Mr. Peanut’s health with her fans on social media, and just a few days earlier, she devoted an entire day to her little man. “I don’t know how many more days he will have (do any of us?) but darn if they won’t be full of all the love he has given me,” she shared.

On Sept. 6, the actress shared a beautiful photo of her beloved pet and reported: “Mr. Peanut has gone to meet his maker. Those of you who know me well know how close this little man and I were. We were bonded right at the heart bone, loyal to one another through thick and thin.

“I made a promise to Mr. Peanut when he was a tiny six-week-old pup that he would never suffer,” she continued. “That his life would be full of joy and that he would always know he was loved. And I’m proud to have made good on that promise.”

Over the past 15 years, McClain and Mr. Peanut shared an unbreakable bond. “Anyone who tried to hurt this dog met my wrath and I’m not sorry one bit,” she declared. “It was my honor and privilege to love this guy. I think he felt the same about me. I am so grateful that I still feel him with me. It is a kind of energetic proof to me that there is life beyond the body. Even for dogs. We do not become ‘nothing.’ That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

“If you call and I don’t pick up, please know… I’m just tired. It’s been a big week,” McClain concluded. “If you think of it or care to, whisper a little ‘Good boy’ to Mr. P…and to all the good boys and girls out there who share this planet with us. We are so lucky to live in a world filled with dogs.”
