What to Know About Baylor Ahead of Utah's Week 2 Matchup

After a very successful Week 1 win against Southern Utah, the Utes face a more challenging test in Week 2 against Baylor as they open up conference play in the Big 12. Utah traveled to Waco for this matchup last year with a 20-13 win. That's the only meeting ever between these teams.

Since that game, Baylor has added quarterback DeQuan Finn via the transfer portal. Finn is a boom-bust quarterback with 19 big-time throws to 19 turnover-worthy plays last year. He also gives the Utes something to think about with his legs - he has 600+ rushing yards in the previous three seasons.

Finn had an underwhelming debut for the Bears, finishing with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a win over Tarleton State. Defensive tackle Jackie Marshall was a standout for Baylor last week, finishing with seven tackles. He missed last season with a torn ACL, so Bears fans were thrilled to see him back on the field.
