'All-Day Sucker!' Eagles' Vic Fangio Previews QB Jordan Love's Packers

The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers collide in Week 1 as the two teams play the first-ever game in South America on Friday night.

Philadelphia defensive coordinator spoke to the media and broke down how they plan to defend the Packers.

“Yeah, the biggest problem in defending their offense is they run it just as good as they throw it, so they have a really good mix on first and second down, running play-action, and it makes it hard to defend,” Fangio said.

“Then you throw in ... a scrambling mobile quarterback, it adds another dimension to it. They’re really tough to defend. They run it and throw it equally well, and you throw in an athletic quarterback, and it’ll be an all-day sucker.”

The Packers are an ascending team with a quarterback and young receivers that are also on the rise. They will also pound the rock with former rushing champ Josh Jacobs, who came over from the Las Vegas Raiders.

This is Fangio’s first year in Philadelphia and he was asked if he thinks they had enough time to prepare for the season.

“You never get enough time, in my opinion,” he said. “But we certainly have had enough to be ready. I think it would have been nice to have another joint practice or two to help that along to where we could see different offenses and different schematics from the opponent. But, overall, I think it went well.”

We will find out Friday night at 8:15 p.m. ET when the Eagles and Packers kick off in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
