The historic City Hose Company No. 9 is at 2217 Frederick Avenue in St. Joseph, Missouri. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 25, 1985.

This building is also known as City Fire Station No. 9. It was constructed in 1900. Imagine back to that era when there were fire station horses and stables for the wagons.

The two-story brick fire station was designed by Edmond Jacques Eckel (1845-1934). The building is owned by the City of St. Joseph.

The east side of the building has a decorative cast metal oriel window which is a type of bay window protruding from the main wall. This is a very picturesque building.
