Pure Fusion Collective Member Signs New WWE Contract

So far this year, WWE has been locked in many talents, with Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, Asuka, and Natalya being just some of the names to ink new deals. And now it has been reported by Fightful Select that Shayna Baszler, who is currently part of the Pure Fusion Collective on Raw, has also signed a new deal. Exactly how long the former MMA fighter has committed to the company wasn’t confirmed, although it was said to be a multi-year deal.

“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion and former NXT Champion Shayna Baszler has re-signed with the company … An exact length of the deal is unknown, but Fightful confirmed it is a multi-year deal.

44-year-old Baszler started her mixed martial arts training in 2006 and was recruited by the UFC 2013 for The Ultimate Fighter in 2013. However, her career in the Octagon would be a letdown, and she instead pursued pro wrestling. Initially, she competed on the indies, but given her legitimate background and impressive matches, she joined WWE in 2017. From there, she won the NXT Women’s Championship twice, and while she wouldn’t meet the same heights on the main roster, she did have a memorable feud with real-life friend Ronda Rousey.
