These days, it seems like every week, there’s a new streaming service for us to get our hands on. From Netflix to Hulu, Peacock to Disney+, Prime Video to Paramount+, it can feel like there’s no end in sight. However, if all you really want out of your streaming service is feel good, positive vibes, then look no further: Hallmark+ is almost here.
Previously known as Hallmark Movies Now, the currently active on demand service will make the transition to become the new and improved streamer, Hallmark+. While Hallmark+ will feature the same Hallmark content we love so dearly already found on Hallmark Movies Now, fans can expect tons of brand new films and shows, with the network even stepping further into the world of unscripted, reality television.
“ The transformation from Hallmark Movies Now to Hallmark+ underlines Hallmark’s mission to help fans live their most caring, connected lives,” said a Hallmark press release. “With access to all-new kinds of original, heartwarming content, plus new membership program benefits, Hallmark+ allows members to get rewarded for streaming and shopping at Hallmark Gold Crown Stores or online at Hallmark.com.”
The current cost of Hallmark Movies Now starts at $5.99 per month, or $59.99 per year. Hallmark+ will come with a bit of a price bump, as monthly memberships will cost $7.99 and a yearly one will cost $79.99, though the increase could be due to the additional benefits and rewards that come with this new transition.
Hallmark has announced numerous new programs and films that will be making their home on Hallmark+, including both ooey-gooey rom-coms we love, as well as a few new reality shows we’ve been anxiously anticipating!
One of these reality shows is titled Finding Mr. Christmas , in which Jonathan Bennett and Melissa Peterman take the lead to find the next Hallmark leading man. A group of hunky male contestants compete for their shot on the Hallmark screen in a series of fun challenges to show their skills.
Lacey Chabert will also host another reality series on the network, Celebrations With Lacey Chabert , where she and her team will throw elaborate celebrations for people who have served and left an impact on their communities.
On the film front, viewers can expect to see familiar faces like Jonathan Bennett, Tyler Hynes and B.J. Britt in The Groomsmen trilogy, a film series celebrating male friendships as they navigate love, life and all that comes their way.
