Pop star Taylor Swift recently attended the Kansas City Chiefs versus Baltimore Ravens matchup in the NFL's opening game of the 2024-25 season.

Swift's appearance at the game had the NFL world buzzing on social media. Prior to the season, fans had been waiting for any news surrounding the music icon attending the matchup to watch her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The Athletic first revealed that Swift would be making an appearance at the game. The sports news outlet mentioned that the information came from a source closely connected with the security operations team at Arrowhead Stadium.

In a report following the game, online entertainment website Page Six spoke to a source who claimed that Swift's team was "steamed" about the news getting leaked, especially since it posted a security risk given her immense stardom.

“She has presidential-level security,” Page Six wrote. “Her security firm is not too happy that her whereabouts are out.”

Furthermore, the Page Six source mentioned that there is "speculation that the NFL team leaked the news" to potentially bring more attention to the season opener between Baltimore and Kansas City.

For what it's worth, Chiefs president Mark Donovan spoke to Front Office Sports before the Chiefs-Ravens game and clarified that they are not trying to take advantage of Swift's popularity.

“We’re not trying to capitalize on this," Donovan shared. "We’re trying to celebrate it, but it’s not about doing too much or showing her every touchdown or anything like that."

It also appears the Chiefs and Swift's security team have established good communication . Back in February, CEO Clark Hunt said that Swift's team "liaison with our security team, and we make sure we get her into and out of the stadium safely."
