Tony Khan Says He Is Appalled By Comments Made About Jim Ross

One of the biggest stories in pro wrestling right now is the lawsuit filed by Kevin Kelly and The Boys against AEW, Tony Khan, and Ian Riccaboni after the trio were let go earlier this year. And while they obviously feel they have a case, many don’t think they will be successful, with AEW commentator Jim Ross going as far as to call the lawsuit  “ frivolous ” on his podcast.

Seemingly, this would touch a nerve with their attorney, Stephen P. New, who is best known for representing Jim Cornette and CM Punk, as he has subsequently taken time out of his day to reply to the WWE Hall of Famer with some cutting comments on his own podcast . In this, New would call Ross “ part of the problem ” and stated, “ Tony Khan’s paid JR a lot of money to do nothing for about five years now .”

Therefore, it comes as little surprise that a fired-up Khan has taken to X , where he would say he’s expressed how “ shocked ” and “ appalled ” by the comments, indicating he isn’t looking to back down from the upcoming legal battle.

72-year-old Ross has sadly been dealing with multiple health issues in recent years, with his two cancer diagnoses being the most alarming. Additionally, it’s known he underwent eye surgery and was also recently attending a rehab facility after breaking his right hip. Yet, despite this adversity in his golden years, it’s known that Ross still loves being involved in the wrestling business, having previously thanked Khan for saving his life by hiring him after his wife Jan tragically died in 2017.
