GH Recaps: Carly Came to Sonny's Rescue!

A lot can happen in a day in Port Charles, so it’s easy to get lost. If you’ve missed anything that happened over the week of Sept. 2, 2024, our General Hospital recaps will help get you back up to speed in no time!

Michael arrived after Sonny shot Jagger and sent him to the house while he called the cops. Sonny grabbed Carly and told her he needed an alibi, and she agreed. After pulling apart from their kiss and again regretting their actions, Drew and Willow went to the Quartermaines and found out about the murder. Chase warned no one could leave until they were questioned, then joined Anna down at the boathouse to investigate. Anna remarked that Agent Cates didn’t have a lot of fans so they had a long list of suspects. After everyone was questioned and released, Sonny and Carly met back at his place to get their stories straight. After spending the night in the guest room, Carly didn’t want to take this any further, especially after Diane suggested they needed to make it look like a real affair. Sonny gave Jason the gun and bullet casings to dispose of and then Anna arrived to search his place. Sonny pretended to be surprised a gun was missing from his lockbox. Josslyn argued with her mother about getting involved with Sonny again and quickly wondered if she was covering for him.

Alexis Covered for Kristina!

Alexis told Sam she was worried about Kristina, who took her keys and disappeared. After visiting the cemetery to cry over her daughter’s grave, Kristina returned to Alexis’s home where Sam sat down with her to discuss losing a baby. After thanking Sam for doing that, Alexis was stunned to discover the gun in Kristina’s bag. She took the gun to the footbridge and tossed it into the river, lying to an arriving Ric and Liz that it was her old phone. Finding the gun missing, Kristina called Michael for help and he revealed Cates was murdered. Alexis was horrified to learn that Jagger had been killed and assumed the worst. Diane informed Alexis that Ava recanted her statement against Kristina, but Alexis admitted her fear Kristina killed Cates. After Diane left, Alexis questioned Kristina, who confessed she wasn’t mad that Jagger was dead, but promised she hadn’t murdered him. Ric wanted to tell the police what they saw, but Liz accused him of wanting to hurt Alexis. After they gave their statements, Liz insisted Alexis wouldn’t hurt Cates, but Ric privately told Chase Alexis had killed before.

Jason Rescued Isaiah

Jason found Isaiah on the side of the road and called in the hit-and-run, then followed to stop Boyle from shooting Ava in the woods. Isaiah was brought to the hospital with no ID so Portia asked Jordan if she could find out more. She met with Brick and asked him to find out who their John Doe was. Diane met with Jason at the PCPD and was annoyed he insisted that she help Ava as well as they explained what happened to Anna. After Ava left, Anna warned Jason that Sonny was the prime suspect. Nina tried to hire Ric to represent Ava, but he refused to take the case. Dante recovered Isaiah’s phone and CSI discovered it was registered in Nairobi.

Lucky Ran Into Holly!

In Africa, Sidwell played cards with Lucky, taunting him that would only stay alive as long as he kept winning. The mercenary boasted of a beautiful woman he’d met in Monte Carlo, and when she arrived, Lucky was stunned to see that it was Holly! Later, she privately admitted to Lucky she was running a con for a big score, but would be out of his way soon. Sidwell interrupted and informed Lucky that his friend wouldn’t be able to help him anymore. That’s when one of Sidwell’s men entered Isaiah’s hospital room with a syringe!

Drew confided in Curtis his guilt over his feelings for Willow and Curtis urged him to stop this before it went too far. Meanwhile, Willow was left alone by Michael to stew in her own guilt.
The Quartermaines were surprised when a dialect coach named Robin Finch arrived to work with Lois, and Tracy revealed she hired her. Although some were offended on Lois’ behalf, she agreed to see if she could smooth over her rough edges. Everyone was stunned by Lois’ transformation, and she assured her daughter she wasn’t changing but enjoyed playing a role.
