Timeline for Next Jordan Love Injury Update Has Been Revealed

The remainder of the Green Bay Packers' season hangs in the balance when it comes to the severity of star quarterback Jordan Love's injury.

Love sustained the injury late in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles with less than one minute remaining in the game. Video replays of the incident show Eagles defensive tackles Jalen Carter grabbing Love just below his left knee, attempting to tackle him as linebacker Josh Sweat made contact high.

There's no update on Love's actual condition, but concerns are high for Packers fans after a slow-motion replay revealed Love's left knee popping as he hit the turf.

Speculation of the injury ranges from a possible torn ACL, which would end his season, to a high-ankle sprain, potentially sidelining him for just a few weeks.

A timeline on when Love's injury will be disclosed was eventually provided by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, who stated the update will be revealed after Love returns to the United States after the trip from Brazil to have testing on his left knee.

"#Packers QB Jordan Love will have tests on his knee when the team lands in a few hours. At this point, the severity is unknown," Rapoport said.

Until then, the Packers will have to rely on backup quarterback Malik Willis to lead the team's offense. While he couldn't much in the last 30 seconds of the game, it was a very small sample size that doesn't represent what he can do at his best, especially after the tough events the team went through with Love's injury.

Green Bay will play their home opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. ET.
