Auburn RB commit Alvin Henderson scores 10 touchdowns in 80-78 loss

Elba (Ala.) four-star Auburn running back commit Alvin Henderson put on one of the best shows you could ever see in high school football on Friday.

His team lost.

Despite rushing for a whopping 435 yards and 10 touchdowns, Elba fell to McKenzie 80-78.

Henderson also scored three 2-point conversions — meaning he broke the Alabama state record for single-game touchdowns and the record for single-game points with 66.

Henderson has been committed to Auburn since he flipped to the Tigers from Penn State on June 21. He had initially pledged to the Nittany Lions in the spring.

Since choosing the in-state squad, Henderson has been one of the lead recruiters in Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class. Most notably, he has been working hard to flip elite Notre Dame quarterback commit Deuce Knight away from the Irish.

Henderson will be back on the Plains this weekend for the Tigers’ game against California as Knight is once again set to make a gameday visit.

Committed visitors include Opelika (Ala.) defensive lineman Malik Autry , Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton tight end Ryan Ghea , four-star defensive linemen Antonio Coleman and Jourdin Crawford , Highland Home (Ala.) four-star linebacker Jakaleb Faulk , Hoover (Ala.) Thompson top-50 EDGE Jared Smith and Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star offensive tackle Tavaris Dice .

Anthony Jones , the top-ranked Alabama prospect in the 2026 class — and On3’s No. 1 pass rusher — will be in attendance.

The 5-foot-9, 195-pound Henderson is the nation’s No. 154 overall prospect, No. 9 running back and No. 13 recruit from Alabama in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
