WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) A woman, accused in a string of armed robberies at multiple West Bloomfield and Orchard Lake businesses, has been arraigned on more than a dozen felony counts.

West Bloomfield Police said, on Wednesday around 8:40 p.m., their dispatch received a call from an employee of Twin Beach Market on Green Lake at Richardson, in the area of Pontiac Trail and Halsted. The caller told the dispatcher a lone woman had entered the store with a gun and robbed him for cash.

“Shortly after that, dispatch received other 911 calls from area businesses in both the cities of Orchard Lake and West Bloomfield, concerning other armed robberies that just took place allegedly by the same suspect,” West Bloomfield Police said in their statement.

One of the 911 calls came from CVS Pharmacy at Maple and Farmington. The caller reported the woman had fired at least two gunshots. West Bloomfield officers took the suspect into custody in the parking lot of the drug store, police said.

No injuries were reported, according to police.

“There is no known danger to the public at this time,” police said, adding the investigation suggests that she acted alone.

The suspect was identified as Molly-Kathryn Omalley Malczynski, 36 of West Bloomfield.

The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office has charged her with multiple felonies: seven counts of armed robbery, eight counts of felony firearm, one count of Weapons discharged in a building, one count of Weapons carrying concealed.

Malczynski was arraigned on Saturday (9/7). The court set her bond at $75,000, no 10% bond. She was taken to the Oakland County Jail.
