Fans Of Big 12 Program Have Meltdown After Terrible First Half Performance

The Week 2 college football slate is putting several teams on upset alert. In the first few games on Saturday, there were several teams facing a potential upset, with an unranked squad leading a ranked opponent.

One of the programs on upset alert was the Oklahoma State Cowboys. They welcomed the Arkansas Razorbacks, and while the No. 16 Cowboys were favored in the matchup, they walked into the locker room down 21-7 at halftime.

The Razorbacks were led by running back Ja'Quinden Jackson, who had three touchdowns at the half.

Following the abysmal first half by Oklahoma State, college football fans were roasting the Cowboys on social media.

Oklahoma State's star running back Ollie Gordon had just 11 yards on six carries in the first half of the game.

Their quarterback, Alan Bowman, was also performing poorly. He recorded 64 yards and an interception, completing 9 of 18 pass attempts.

Arkansas led the Cowboys in nearly every major team category at halftime. They had 351 total yards to Oklahoma State's 77 yards.

A couple of other prominent stats in favor of Arkansas were 8.0 yards per play to the Cowboys' 3.0 and 18 first downs to Oklahoma State's five first downs.

Oklahoma State entered the game with high hopes. Its the top-ranked team in the Big 12, but that may not be enough to trump an SEC opponent.

In the Cowboys Week 1 matchup, they secured a 44-20 victory to South Dakota State.

While the result of Oklahoma State's matchup on Saturday is unknown at the time of this writing, they'll need to get back to the drawing board whether they secure a win or loss.
