China One, a Chinese restaurant in Yulee, was cited for 20 violations, including four high-priority infractions, during a recent inspection by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation.

While the restaurant in Nassau County, Florida, was not forced to close, a follow-up inspection is required to address these concerns, according to state records.

The August 30, 2024, inspection revealed eight high-priority, five intermediate, and nine basic violations. The establishment, which also serves vegetarian dishes, currently holds a 4.0-star rating from 86 Google reviews, reflecting a solid impression among patrons despite the recent findings.

A recent customer named Pam Wilson shared on Google Reviews:

Food is always Great. Most Chinese takeout, the General TSO Chicken is hard and tuff. Some is like hard fried batter with no chicken. China One in Lofton Square is hands down the Best!

High-priority violations included using nonfood-grade containers for food storage, unsuitable storage of raw animal food, and inadequate cold holding of time/temperature control for safe food.

Intermediate violations contained needed food-contact surfaces and accessibility issues regarding handwashing stations.

Basic violations were also a concern, including the unsuitability of food storage practices, unsuitable materials used for food contact surfaces, and inadequate cleaning measures.

William Rogers shared on Google Reviews:

The Food and Quality were absolutely wonderful, will definitely be ordering regularly, thank you for a wonderful meal.

As China One continues to work on rectifying these violations, it is essential for local and visiting diners in Yulee to stay informed about the latest updates.
