Thunderstorm activity is set to increase this weekend in southern Nevada, particularly along and south of Interstate 15. Residents and visitors can expect strong outflow winds this afternoon and evening, with isolated thunderstorms already developing near Mountain Pass and across the southern McCullough Range.

Localized severe weather, including potential damaging winds and microburst activity, is possible, especially in the Mojave Desert and Colorado River Valley. While the risk of flash flooding is minimal, some sensitive areas around Needles and Mohave Valley could experience brief flooding if storm activity intensifies.

The pattern of storms is expected to continue into Sunday, with increased moisture likely to bring higher probabilities of storms, particularly in Clark and Lincoln Counties, including the Spring Mountains. By Monday, storm activity may shift eastward, but scattered thunderstorms will remain a possibility in Mohave County. Temperatures will stay above normal through early next week before drier conditions and gusty winds return by midweek.
