Barrio has closed its Lowertown St. Paul restaurant, according to a notice on its door, shared by WCCO's Jason DeRusha.

Its final service was on Sept. 6, per the notice, which also thanks patrons for coming into the restaurant and tequila bar over the past 15 years. It opened in 2009, just a year before expanding to a more food-focused location in Edina.

Barrio did not respond to a request for comment but has removed the Lowertown location from its website.

Barrio's other locations remain open, including restaurants on Nicollet Mall in Downtown Minneapolis , at 5036 France Ave. in Edina , and in Terminal 2 of the MSP Airport.

Barrio did not respond to a request for comment.

One business feeds off the other.. One closes and soon others follow.. soon there won't be many jobs available in that area.. America is turning to socialism right before our eyes. Right now.
